Code of conduct

1. We will not discriminate against anyone who fulfils the criteria to be members of Outmates
2. We will not accept personal mail or gifts from service users
3. We will not give out our surnames to Outmates service users
4. We will maintain the confidentiality of service users, although information will be shared within the volunteer base
5. We will not tell service users what to do; we will encourage them to explore issues and alternatives but let them make their own decisions
6. It is part of our role to protect vulnerable people whilst they are at the LGF Richmond Street
7. If any of these codes are broken the volunteer will ensure that the other volunteers are told as soon as possible, so that the group can discuss if any action is necessary
8. We will be punctual
9. We will look after ourselves ... and each other
